Ninth, on revealing the scope of doctrinal principles: The ocean of meaning is vast and deep, and the subtle words are boundless. I briefly raise ten gates to grasp its main principles: first, the gate of simultaneous complete correspondence; second, the gate of unimpeded freedom of breadth and narrowness; third, the gate of mutual inclusion without confusion between the one and the many; fourth, the gate of universal mutual identity of all phenomena with sovereign freedom; fifth, the gate of co-establishment of the hidden and the manifest; sixth, the gate of subtle mutual inclusion and establishment; seventh, the gate of the dharmadhātu of Indra's net; eighth, the gate of relying on phenomena to manifest the Dharma and generate understanding; ninth, the gate of distinct formation of separated phenomena across the ten times; tenth, the gate of the host and companions perfectly luminous and fully endowed with virtues. These ten gates are of a single dependent origination, unimpeded and perfectly interpenetrating; whichever single gate is taken, it is endowed with all of them, which should be reflected upon.
