請法中。準《律》具儀，跪膝合掌，然後陳請。《僧祇》異名，如前篇引。注中示知加改。彼云：我某甲求大德為依止，願大德與我依止，我依止大德住，故知加改不唯闍梨二字。

Under 'The Method of Requesting': In accordance with the Vinaya, completing the deportment, kneeling on both knees with palms joined, one then sets forth the request. The variant designations in the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya are as cited in the previous chapter. In the note, it shows that changes are to be added: That text states, 'I, named so-and-so, seek the Venerable to be my dependence; may the Venerable grant me dependence; I shall dwell depending on the Venerable.' Therefore, we know that the additions and changes are not merely the two characters 'ācārya.'
