大德僧聽！此某甲比丘得乾痟病，有糞掃臥具重，欲人間遊行，今從僧乞更作新臥具羯磨；僧與此某甲比丘更作新臥具羯磨。誰諸長老忍僧與此某甲比丘更作新臥具羯磨者默然，誰不忍者說。僧已忍與某甲比丘更作新臥具羯磨竟。僧忍，默然故，是事如是持。

'Let the saṃgha, bhadantas, listen! This bhikṣu so-and-so suffers from consumption, has rag bedding that is heavy, and wishes to wander among people; he now requests from the saṃgha the karman for making another new bedding; the saṃgha performs for this bhikṣu so-and-so the karman for making another new bedding. Whichever venerable ones approve the saṃgha's performing for this bhikṣu so-and-so the karman for making another new bedding, remain silent; whoever does not approve, speak! The saṃgha has already approved performing for bhikṣu so-and-so the karman for making another new bedding. The saṃgha approves, therefore it is silent; so is this matter maintained.'
