3.98

大德僧聽！我某甲比丘老病，不能無絡囊盛鉢無杖而行，今從僧乞畜杖絡囊。願僧聽我某甲比丘畜杖絡囊，慈愍故。（三說。僧應如是與法。）

'Let the saṃgha, bhadantas, listen! I, bhikṣu so-and-so, am old and sick, unable to walk without a net-bag to carry my bowl and without a staff; I now request from the saṃgha to keep a staff and net-bag. May the saṃgha permit me, bhikṣu so-and-so, to keep a staff and net-bag, out of compassion.' (To be spoken three times. The saṃgha should grant the procedure thus:)
