17.27

「如是說者至有強力故」者，此即正義。如是說者，通取一切緣。若有漏、無漏緣，自界、他界緣，邪見皆能斷善。無漏緣、他界緣邪見，雖境不隨增，隨同類、遍行因亦增，邪見有強力故亦能斷善。又解：雖境不隨增，相應、俱有因亦增，邪見有強力，故亦能斷善。

Regarding "The correct doctrine says ... because it has great power": This is the correct doctrine. The correct doctrine says that it generally takes all as its object. Whether taking the defiled or undefiled as object, or taking its own realm or other realms as object, wrong view is able to sever the wholesome. Although wrong view taking the undefiled or other realms as object does not increase through the object, it also increases through homologous causes (sabhāga-hetu) and omnipresent causes (sarvatraga-hetu); because wrong view has great power, it is also able to sever the wholesome. Another explanation: Although it does not increase through the object, it also increases through concordant causes (saṃprayuktaka-hetu) and co-existent causes (sahabhū-hetu); because wrong view has great power, it is therefore also able to sever the wholesome.
