「若所依身至一起便住」者，論主答。所依色身，名相續也。故《婆沙》云「有說色身名為相續，謂生欲界不住無想滅盡等至，壽隨色身相續而轉。所以者何？若身平和壽則無夭，若身損壞壽則中夭。

"If the physical body that is the support… it endures once arisen" is the author of the treatise's answer. The physical body that serves as the support is called the continuum. Therefore the Mahāvibhāṣā says: "Some say the physical body is called the continuum, meaning that born in the Desire Realm, not abiding in the non-conceptual or cessation attainments, life shifts in accordance with the continuum of the physical body. Why is this? If the body is harmonious and balanced, life suffers no premature end; if the body is damaged, life suffers a premature end midway."
