21.72

論「此上所說至遍相應故」，自前所釋諸隨煩惱，皆遍與捨受相應。三禪已下增盛如前說，相續斷時皆捨相應。四禪已上若盛，若欲斷時皆捨相應，地法無餘受故。又捨與歡、慼，六識上下諸地，一切無遮皆遍相應，譬如無明遍與諸煩惱相應也。

On the passage in the treatise, "All those stated above ... because they pervade in association": the various secondary defilements explained above are all universally associated with the feeling of equanimity. Below the third dhyāna, when intensifying they are as stated before, and when their continuum is interrupted, they are all associated with equanimity. In the fourth dhyāna and above, whether intense or about to be interrupted, they are all associated with equanimity, because the phenomena of that stage have no other feelings. Furthermore, equanimity pervades without obstruction in association with both joy and sorrow, in the six consciousnesses, and in the upper and lower stages, just as ignorance universally associates with all defilements.
