基云：今解五停心等三加行正是解脫分體，並是決擇分前故，名隨順順決擇分。其解脫分亦然，從聞慧以去名解脫分，已前據持十二部經等是生得善故，是彼解脫分加行體，非解脫分，解脫界通九地繫自有文決擇分。

Ji says: Now the explanation is that the three preliminary practices such as the fivefold resting of the mind are precisely the substance of the aids to liberation; and because they precede the aids to penetration, they are called conforming to the aids conforming to penetration. The aids to liberation are also like this: from hearing-wisdom onward they are called aids to liberation; prior to that, being based on upholding the twelve divisions of scriptures and so forth, they are birth-acquired wholesome roots, and thus are the preparatory substance of those aids to liberation, not the aids to liberation themselves. The realm of liberation encompasses being bound to the nine stages; there is its own text on the aids to penetration.
