通第二經中云：不應由彼去來之性，說言是有者，其過未法體，小乘今現有，不應說去來，去來之性當曾有故，不應以去來之性說今現有也。

In reconciling the second sūtra, it states: 'It should not be said to exist by virtue of that nature of past and future.' The substance of past and future dharmas exists at present according to the Hīnayāna, so one should not speak of 'past and future'; because the nature of past and future is that it will or once existed, one should not say that it exists at present by virtue of the nature of past and future.
