緣名身等義為境者，唯識二說：一云，五識亦俱；二云，唯意識俱。此文為證，但言緣名等義不說緣色等故。

Regarding 'taking the referents of name-sets and so forth as intentional objects', *Vijñaptimātra* has two explanations: The first says that the five consciousnesses are also conjoined with them; the second says that only mental consciousness is conjoined with them. This text serves as evidence, because it only speaks of taking the referents of names and so forth as intentional objects, and does not speak of taking forms and so forth as intentional objects.
