此三三摩地諸門分別者，八門分別：一、名差別，七十二及顯揚第二說：若無差別總說為空，無願無相通聞思修所成為性，有漏無漏若定若散唯善非餘，加行非生得。若言空無相無願三摩地者，唯修所成，有漏無漏唯定非散。若言空解脫門等者，唯是無漏修所成慧，非散聞慧等。

Regarding the distinctions among the gates of these three samādhis, there are distinctions in eight gates: First, distinction of names. The seventy-second fascicle and the second fascicle of the Prakaraṇāryavācā state: If spoken of generally without distinction as emptiness, wishless, and signless, their nature pervades what arises from hearing, reflection, and cultivation; they are tainted or taintless, concentrated or unconcentrated, exclusively wholesome and nothing else, and preparatory rather than innate. If called the samādhis of emptiness, the signless, and the wishless, they arise exclusively from cultivation, are tainted or taintless, and are exclusively concentrated and not unconcentrated. If called the gates of liberation through emptiness and so forth, they are exclusively taintless wisdom arisen from cultivation, not unconcentrated wisdom [arisen from] hearing and so forth.
