於如是等事差別等下，明依六相宣說八事，我依眼等是初相，我於色等境是第二相，其計識為我名自性事差別，通根境等中一一應說，由觸及受是第三相，依一相說觸及受事有如是名，乃至隨起言說是第四相，造作一切法非法行是第五相，於可愛事乃至不住損減是第六相，非愛事中未得希不合，設合希不住，設住希損減。

From 'among such distinctions of affairs, etc.' below, it clarifies the expounding of the eight affairs based on the six characteristics: 'I rely on the eyes, etc.' is the first characteristic; 'I toward objects such as form' is the second characteristic; conceiving consciousness as the self is called the distinction of self-nature affairs, which should be explained individually throughout faculties, objects, etc.; 'due to contact and feeling' is the third characteristic, where contact and feeling affairs are given such names based on a single characteristic; up to 'giving rise to speech in accordance' being the fourth characteristic; 'performing all dharmic and non-dharmic actions' being the fifth characteristic; and regarding attractive things up to 'not abiding and diminishing' being the sixth characteristic: regarding unattractive things, when not yet obtained one wishes not to encounter them; even if encountered, one wishes they do not abide; even if abiding, one wishes they diminish.
