多眾者謂大施會眾，雜眾者謂八部眾，大眾者謂國王王子眾，執眾者謂執理眾則斷事，眾諦眾者謂諸實語眾，或諸聖眾已見諦者，善眾者謂沙門眾或樂法義。

"Multitudinous assembly" refers to an assembly at a great donation feast. "Mixed assembly" refers to the assembly of the eight classes of beings. "Great assembly" refers to the assembly of kings and princes. "Judicial assembly" refers to the assembly that upholds principle, that is, those who judge affairs. "Assembly of truth" refers to an assembly of those who speak truth, or an assembly of noble ones who have already seen the truths. "Virtuous assembly" refers to an assembly of śramaṇas or those who take pleasure in the meaning of the Dharma.
