（基云）今解，此文且為二說，一者依止種姓故有堪任勢力得成就菩提，即以種姓有堪任勢力能建立大菩提，二者以自乘種姓為依止故有所堪任成正等覺，自乘種姓為能建立故有大勢力證大菩提，種姓為此二釋。

(Ji says:) We now explain that this text temporarily presents two explanations: First, because of relying upon gotra, there is capability and power enabling the accomplishment of awakening; that is, because gotra has capability and power, it can establish great awakening. Second, because of taking the gotra of one's own vehicle as the support, one has capability to achieve right and complete awakening; because the gotra of one's own vehicle can establish, one has great power to realize great awakening. Gotra is explained in these two ways.
