Regarding "various vidyā mantras of Drāviḍa": Jing says: Above the ocean island southeast of South India there is a Siṃhala kingdom called Drāviḍa. Since there is no equivalent term here to translate it, the Sanskrit term is retained. Tai says: The language here is the name of a mantra; there is no name here with which to translate it. Ji says: This refers to the country of Saṅkhala, which is the Siṃhala kingdom. There is a mantra called Drāviḍa, which is a great mantra among mantras, constantly having miraculous efficacy; it is now first cited. Ce says: The older treatise says "the language of the country of Dami"; the older commentary says that this is a ghost country, whose uttered speech cannot be understood.
