Regarding the treatise's explanation of transformed speech: 'like the kalaviṅka's sound, up to being unattached and inexhaustible.' The treatise states: 'Furthermore, because they can recollectedly follow uninterrupted moments, what they do successively is without interruption.' The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas can recollect the phenomena of the previous moment and the moment before that, exhausting [all] from beginningless time, completely capable of understanding, and can know in this way within a single moment. The Hīnayāna says: A Buddha, with his initial-abiding cognition, cannot know the two previous moments; when taking moments as an object, because moments are immeasurable, he has not yet grasped them. After fifty or sixty days, one already reaches old age and death; there is no sense of taking moments as an object. Now, in the Mahāyāna, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas all attain this.
