言未得、已失應永不生者,未得可知。已失之法,未來應生闕緣不起,亦名已失,此定不生,得非擇滅故,如易界地等已捨之法,名為已失,即許可生,此無前得,今約此類既無前得,應永不起。
Regarding the statement, 'What has not yet been acquired or has already been lost would never arise': 'what has not yet been acquired' is understandable. As for 'dharmas that have already been lost,' dharmas that should have arisen in the future but do not arise due to lack of conditions are also called 'already lost'; these definitely do not arise because they acquire non-analytical cessation (apratisaṃkhyā-nirodha). Dharmas that have been relinquished, such as when changing realms or bhūmis, are called 'already lost,' and they are permitted to arise; these lack prior possession (prāpti). Now, in terms of this category, since they lack prior possession, they should never arise.
