The Yaoji objects: "If being spoken of as entanglement means being spoken of as bondage, how could the treatise master cite that sutra verse to substantiate the four aspects of contaminated and uncontaminated? The uncontaminated has no bondage, so it would not substantiate the uncontaminated. Now, to resolve this: It provisionally substantiates the existence of the four aspects on the basis of the contaminated, clearly indicating that the uncontaminated also has four aspects. If speaking of bondage means it cannot substantiate the uncontaminated, then speaking of sentient beings would likewise mean it cannot substantiate the existence of the Buddha."
