Question: A verse in the Madhyāntavibhāga says: 'In unmovingness and non-distortion, / it is known that the referent is non-existent, / yet not non-existent like an illusion, etc., / because of unmovingness in existence and non-existence.' It takes the metaphor of an illusion and so forth to illustrate the imagined nature. Since the two treatises diverge, what are their respective intentions?
