Seventh is fallacious direct perception (pratyakṣābhāsa): the mental activity involves deliberation, not clearly verifying the object, yet falsely presuming to attain its substance; it is called fallacious direct perception. (Distracted minds are of two kinds: first, conceptual; second, non-conceptual. All fallacious direct perceptions are present throughout both minds: with conceptual mind, one falsely presumes to distinctly attain the object's self-substance; with non-conceptual mind, because it cannot distinctly and imperceptibly verify the object, it is called fallacious direct perception. The treatise, relying on what is definitive, only speaks of conceptual [cognition], because it is not the case that all non-conceptual minds are solely direct perception.)
