1.24

問：既動靜不一者，可如來藏七識中，何不在梨耶中？答：動靜無二，是梨耶識。今既動靜分，而梨耶無別體，故云不在中。

Question: Since movement and stillness are not one, [and] the tathāgatagarbha is within the seven consciousnesses, why is it not within the ālayavijñāna? Answer: Movement and stillness are non-dual, which is the ālayavijñāna. Now, since movement and stillness are differentiated, and the ālayavijñāna has no separate essence, it is said not to be within it.
