Tenth is the gate of phenomenal entities not being principle, which means that phenomena, which are entirely principle, are always not principle, because nature and characteristics are different, and that which relies is not that which is relied upon. Therefore, though their whole substance is entirely principle, phenomenon-characteristics are distinctly evident. It is like waves, which are entirely water, always not being water, because the meaning of movement is not wetness.
