三、內無色相外觀色少，若好若醜，是名勝知勝見。內無色相如二背捨。外觀色少，若好若醜等，皆如初勝處也。

Third, without the notion of form internally, one externally contemplates limited forms, whether fair or foul—this is called mastery of knowledge and mastery of vision. 'Without the notion of form internally' is as in the second liberation. 'Externally contemplating limited forms, whether fair or foul' and so forth are all as in the first base of mastery.
