1.23

僧清稅問：「某甲孤貧，請師賑濟。」師曰：「稅闍黎近前來。」銳近前，師曰：「泉州白家三盞酒喫後，猶道未沾脣（玄覺云：甚麼處是與他酒喫）。」

The monk Qingshui asked, "I am solitary and poor; I ask the Master for relief." The Master said, "Ācārya Shui, come forward." Shui approached, and the Master said, "After drinking three cups of wine at the Bai family's in Quanzhou, you still say your lips are not yet wet." (Xuanjue said, "Where was it that he gave him wine to drink?")
