聖節上堂云。從來尊貴。借為誕生。一步密移。全身合體。據太平之本。持造化之元。等虛空同壽而長靈。與日月齊明而無晦。聖踵一揆。神應萬機。且道。箇人行履作麼生。玉扆垂衣自端拱。萬方化洽入無為。

On the Imperial Birthday, ascending the hall, [the Master] said, "From the beginning noble and honored, borrowed to be born. A single step intimately shifting, the whole body joins the substance. Resting on the basis of great peace, upholding the origin of creation and transformation. Equal in lifespan to empty space and eternally numinous; matching the sun and moon in brightness without obscurity. The sage's footprints follow a single measure; spiritual response matches ten thousand occasions. And tell me: what about this person's practice? Behind the jade screen, robes trailing, he sits upright with folded hands; the transforming influence across ten thousand directions accords with non-action."
