Completely understanding that all phenomena are empty, mind upon mind is sovereign and dust upon dust is penetrated. Originally a stretch of bright light, there is no place it does not pervade. One then transforms according to circumstances and takes things as the source upon encountering them. Wondrously illuminating the conditions, one expansively forgets dualities. Pines and wind, water and moon, pure and tranquil, they suit each other. There is no mind of coming and going, no mark of lingering or stagnation. What is essential is to be empty within so as to have room, and to respond outwardly without being perturbed, like spring putting forth flowers, like a mirror reflecting images. Amidst the clamor and bustle, one naturally stands head and shoulders above.
