上曰。已看得數版未了在。師奏曰。七佛偈去冬因沈介尚書問。第三毘舍浮佛偈云。假借四大以為身。心本無生因境有。前境若無心亦無。罪福如幻起亦滅。

His Majesty said, "We have already read several blocks, but have not yet finished." The Master memorialized, saying, "Regarding the gāthās of the seven Buddhas, last winter Minister of the Department of State Affairs Shen Jie asked about the gāthā of the third Buddha, Viśvabhū: / 'Borrowing the four great elements to make a body, / the mind originally has no arising, but exists due to objects. / If the objects before it are absent, the mind is also absent; / transgressions and blessings, like illusions, arise and also cease.'"
