Thoroughfare and highway (逵路: for the upper, qiú + wēi [kuí]; the Erya says, "A nine-way intersection is called a kuí." Guo Pu's commentary says, "Four roads crossing out, with further side avenues." For the lower, luò + gù [lù]; the Erya says, "A single road leading through is called a dào-lù." Guo's commentary says, "It refers to a long road." 逵 is also written as 馗, with identical pronunciation and gloss).
