優婆塞都尉安玄。亦號安侯騎都尉。安息國人。志性貞白深有理致。博誦群經並通幽旨。以靈帝光和四年歲次辛酉。於洛陽譯。法鏡經（二卷）。斷十二因緣經（一卷）。嚴佛調筆受。具得音正盡經微旨。郢匠之美見述其人。

The upāsaka and Chief Commandant An Xuan, also called An Hou, Cavalry Commandant, was a man of Parthia. His disposition was upright and pure, and he was deeply attuned to the principles of truth. Widely reciting the various sūtras, he fully comprehended their profound meaning. In the fourth year of Guanghe of Emperor Ling, the year xinyou [181 CE], he translated at Luoyang: the Fajing jing (two fascicles) and the Duan shier yinyuan jing (one fascicle). Yan Fodiao was the scribe. It fully captured the correct sounds and completely conveyed the subtle intent of the scriptures. The excellence of his craftsmanship was celebrated by his contemporaries.
