自後漢孝明皇帝永平十年歲次丁卯。至大唐神武皇帝開元十八年庚午之歲。凡六百六十四載。中間傳譯緇素總一百七十六人。所出大小二乘三藏聖教。及聖賢集傳并及失譯。總二千二百七十八部。都合七千四十六卷。其見行闕本並該前數。

From the tenth year (the dingmao year) of the Yongping era of Emperor Xiaoming of the Later Han to the eighteenth year (the gengwu year) of the Kaiyuan era of the Divine and Martial Emperor of the Great Tang, there are in all six hundred and sixty-four years. During this period, there were altogether one hundred and seventy-six translators among the clergy and laity. The sacred teachings of the tripiṭaka of the two vehicles, Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna, as well as the compilations and biographical accounts of sages and worthies, together with anonymous translations, total 2,278 works in altogether 7,046 fascicles. Both extant works and lost texts are included in the aforementioned numbers.
