24.8.1
Wu pin jing (Sūtra of the Wu Chapter), five fascicles (namely the Aṣṭasāhasrikā-prajñāpāramitā).
Translated by Indian Tripiṭaka Master Kang Senghui; third translation.
Xin daoxing jing (New Sūtra of the Practice of the Way), ten fascicles (also called Xiaopin, or in seven fascicles; Dao'an's catalogue calls it Gengchu xiaopin).
Translated by Western Jin Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa; fourth translation.
Examining the catalogues of Fei Changfang and others, [the claim that] there is an additional Xiaopin jing in seven fascicles among Dharmarakṣa's translations is incorrect. Since Master Dharmarakṣa already had the Xin daoxing jing, it should not be entered separately. In the catalogues, there is a Da zhidu wuji jing in four fascicles, also said to have been produced by Master Dharmarakṣa. Since it shares the same source text as the Daoxing jing, he would not have translated it separately again. As both are redundant, they are not retained.
Da zhidu jing (Sūtra on the Great Perfection of Wisdom), four fascicles.
Translated by Eastern Jin Western Regions Tripiṭaka Master Gītamitra.
The above three scriptures share the same source text as the Fourth Assembly of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā-sūtra. There were eight translations in all: five texts are in the canon, and three texts are missing. (Catalogues such as Changfang's further state that Kumārajīva had a Fangguang banruo in twenty-two fascicles; this is incorrect. Since Master Kumārajīva had already translated the Dapin, he would not have produced the Fangguang again. Its inclusion is an error.)
Rushou pusa wushang qingjing fenwei jing (Sūtra on Bodhisattva Rushou's Utmost Pure Alms-Gathering), two fascicles (also called Jueliao zhufa rujuan sanmei jing).
Translated by Later Han Linhuai śramaṇa Yan Fotiao; first translation.
The above single scripture shares the same source text as the Eighth Assembly of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā-sūtra. There were three translations in all: two texts are in the canon, and one text is missing.
Renwang banruo jing (Sūtra of the Benevolent King on Prajñā), one fascicle (or two fascicles, thirty-one sheets).
Translated by Western Jin Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa; first translation.
Renwang banruo jing, one fascicle.
Translated by Liang Indian Tripiṭaka Master Paramārtha.
The above [works had] three translations in all: one text is in the canon, and two texts are missing.
Banruo boluomiduo na jing (Prajñāpāramitā... Sūtra), one fascicle.
Translated under the Heavenly Empress of the Great Tang by Indian Tripiṭaka Master Bodhiruci; newly entered into the catalogue.
The above shares the same source text as the Damingzhou jing and others. There were three translations in all: two texts are in the canon, and one text is missing.
Daoxing jing (Sūtra of the Practice of the Way), one fascicle (Master Dao'an says it is an extract of Prajñā compiled by an eminent foreign master, for which Dao'an composed a preface).
Translated by Later Han Indian śramaṇa Lokakṣema [Zhu Foshuo].
Although the above single scripture is named Daoxing, its fascicle volume is entirely smaller; it cannot be considered the same text as the earlier Daoxing and others. It is recorded separately for now.
Mohe banruo boluomi zhou jing (Maha-prajñāpāramitā Dhāraṇī Sūtra), one fascicle (sometimes without the word "Mohe").
Translated by Wu Yuezhi upāsaka Zhi Qian.
Mohe banruo suixin jing (Maha-prajñā Mind-Following Sūtra), one fascicle.
Translated under the Heavenly Empress of the Great Tang by Khotan Tripiṭaka Master Śikṣānanda; newly entered into the catalogue.
The above ten works in twenty-seven fascicles, beginning with the Wu pin jing, are missing texts in the Prajñā section.
Wuliangshou jing (Sūtra of Immeasurable Life), two fascicles.
Translated by Later Han Parthian Tripiṭaka Master An Shigao; first translation.
Wuliang qingjing pingdengjue jing (Sūtra of Immeasurable, Pure, and Equal Awakening), two fascicles.
Translated by Cao-Wei Western Regions Tripiṭaka Master Bo Yan; fifth translation.
Catalogues such as Changfang's record an additional Pingdengjue jing in one fascicle among Bo Yan's translations; that is merely the aforementioned scripture and is not repeated here to avoid redundancy.
Wuliangshou jing, two fascicles (also called Wuliang qingjing pingdengjue jing).
Translated by Western Jin Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa; sixth translation.
Wuliangshou zhizhen dengzhengjue jing (Sūtra of the Truly Real, Fully and Correctly Awakened One of Immeasurable Life), one fascicle (also called Le fotu jing, also called Jiletufa jing).
Translated by Eastern Jin foreign śramaṇa Zhu Fali; seventh translation.
Xin wuliangshou jing (New Sūtra of Immeasurable Life), two fascicles (also said to have been produced in the second year of the Yongchu reign of the Song).
Translated by Eastern Jin Indian Tripiṭaka Master Buddhabhadra; eighth translation.
Xin wuliangshou jing, two fascicles.
Translated by Song Liangzhou śramaṇa Shi Baoyun; ninth translation.
Xin wuliangshou jing, two fascicles.
Translated by Song Kashmīr Tripiṭaka Master Dharmamitra; recorded in the Zhenji Monastery Catalogue; tenth translation.
The above seven scriptures share the same source text as the Fifth Assembly, "Immeasurable Life", of the Mahāratnakūṭa-sūtra. This scripture has eleven translations: four texts are in the canon, and seven texts are missing.
Achufoshe zhu pusa xuecheng pin jing (Sūtra of the Chapter on the Bodhisattvas Studying and Accomplishing [the Way] in the Buddha-land of Akṣobhya), two fascicles.
Translated by Eastern Jin śramaṇa Zhi Daogen; third translation.
The above single scripture shares the same source text as the Sixth Assembly, "Akṣobhya Tathāgata". There were three translations in all: two are extant and one is missing.

Translated by Yao Qin Tripiṭaka Master Kumārajīva; recorded in Fashang's catalogue; first translation.
The above single scripture shares the same source text as the Eighth Assembly, "Essence of the Dharmadhātu". There were two translations in all: one is extant and one is missing.
Pumen pin jing (Sūtra of the Universal Gate Chapter), one fascicle.
Translated by Eastern Jin Western Regions Tripiṭaka Master Gītamitra; second translation.
The above single scripture shares the same source text as the Tenth Assembly, "Mañjuśrī's Universal Gate". There were three translations in all: two are extant and one is missing.
Yanjing fotu jing (Sūtra on Adorning and Purifying the Buddha-lands), two fascicles (also called Jingtu jing).
Translated by Western Jin Henei śramaṇa Bai Fazu; second translation.
The above single scripture shares the same source text as the Fifteenth Assembly, "Mañjuśrī's Prediction". There were three translations in all: two are extant and one is missing.
Pusazang jing (Sūtra of the Bodhisattva Piṭaka), three fascicles.
Translated by Western Jin Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa; first translation.
The above single scripture shares the same source text as the Seventeenth Assembly, "Pūrṇa". There were two translations in all: one is extant and one is missing.
Fajing jing (Sūtra of the Mirror of the Law), two fascicles (or one fascicle).
Translated by Wu Yuezhi upāsaka Zhi Qian; second translation.
Catalogues such as Changfang's record an additional Youjia zhangzhe jing in two fascicles among Zhi Qian's translations; this is none other than the Fajing jing, so it is not redundantly listed.
Youjialuoyue wen pusa jing (Sūtra of Ugraparipṛcchā), one fascicle.
Translated by Western Jin Henei śramaṇa Bai Fazu; fifth translation.
Youjia zhangzhe suowen jing (Sūtra Spoken at the Inquiry of Householder Ugra), one fascicle.
Translated by Song Kashmīr Tripiṭaka Master Dharmamitra; sixth translation.
The above three scriptures share the same source text as the Nineteenth Assembly, "Householder Ugra". There were six translations in all: three are extant and three are missing.
Miaohui tongnü suowen jing (Sūtra of the Questions of the Maiden Vimaladattā), one fascicle.
Translated under the Heavenly Empress of the Great Tang by Indian Tripiṭaka Master Bodhiruci; newly entered into the catalogue; third translation.
The above single scripture shares the same source text as the Thirtieth Assembly, "Maiden Vimaladattā". There were four translations in all: three are extant and one is missing.
Asheshiwang nü Ashuda pusa jing (Sūtra of King Ajātaśatru's Daughter, Bodhisattva Aśokadattā), one fascicle.
Translated by Wu Yuezhi upāsaka Zhi Qian; first translation.
Ashuda jing (Aśokadattā Sūtra), one fascicle.
Translated by Eastern Jin Western Regions Tripiṭaka Master Gītamitra; third translation.
Ashuda pusa jing (Bodhisattva Aśokadattā Sūtra), one fascicle.
Translated by Song Indian Tripiṭaka Master Zhu Fajuan; fourth translation.
The above three scriptures share the same source text as the Thirty-second Assembly, "Bodhisattva Abhayapradā". There were five translations in all: two are extant and three are missing. (Furthermore, catalogues such as Changfang's record Zhu Dharmarakṣa having an additional Asheshiwang nü wuyoushi jing in one fascicle. This is merely a divergence in dialect between Chu and Jin and should not have been entered again: Aśokadattā is the Indic term, while Wuyoushi is the Jin Chinese equivalent. Listing both scriptures was an error by previous cataloguers.)
Ruhuan sanmei jing (Sūtra on Like-an-Illusion Samādhi), two fascicles (or one fascicle).
24.8.2
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master An Shigao from Parthia under the Later Han: first translation.
*Ruhuan sanmei jing* (Māyopamasamādhi-sūtra), two fascicles.
Translated by Western Regions Tripiṭaka Master Gidami under the Eastern Jin: third translation.
*Ruhuan sanmei jing*, two fascicles.

*Sheng shanzhuyi tianzi suowen jing* (Sūtra of the Questions of the Son of Heaven Supratiṣṭhitacitta), four fascicles.
Translated by Indian Tripiṭaka Master Jñānagupta under the Sui: sixth translation.
The above four sūtras share the same original text as the thirty-sixth assembly, *Supratiṣṭhitacitta-devaputra-parivarta*. In all, there are seven translations: three extant, four missing.
*Huishang pusa wen da shanquan jing* (Sūtra of Bodhisattva Jñānottara's Questions on Great Skillful Means), two fascicles (also without the word “Bodhisattva”, or in one fascicle).
Translated by Śramaṇa Yan Fotiao of Linhuai under the Later Han: first translation.
*Da shanquan jing* (Great Skillful Means Sūtra), two fascicles.
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Kumārajīva under the Yao Qin: fourth translation.
*Huishang pusa wen da shanquan jing*, two fascicles (also titled *Huishang pusa*, simply titled *Da shanquan*, or titled *Dacheng fangbian*).
Translated by Western Regions Tripiṭaka Master Gāthā under the Northern Liang: fifth translation.
The above three sūtras share the same original text as the thirty-eighth assembly, *Upāyakauśalya-parivarta*. In all, there are five translations: two extant, three missing.
*Mile suowen dayuan jing* (Sūtra of Maitreya's Inquiry on the Great Vow), one fascicle.
Translated by Western Regions Tripiṭaka Master Gidami under the Eastern Jin: second translation.
The above one sūtra shares the same original text as the forty-second assembly, *Maitreya-parivarta*. In all, there are three translations: two extant, one missing.
*Pusa jingxing jing* (Sūtra on the Pure Conduct of Bodhisattvas), two fascicles (also called *Jinglü jing*).
Translated by Indian Tripiṭaka Master Kang Senghui under the Wu: first translation of a separate chapter.
The above one sūtra shares the same original text as the forty-seventh assembly, *Ratnacūḍa-parivarta*. This is the *Ratnacūḍa Chapter* of the *Mahāsaṃnipāta*. Excluding the primary sūtra, there are two translations in all: one extant, one missing.
*Shengman jing* (Śrīmālādevī-sūtra), one fascicle (also called *Shengman shizi hou yisheng da fangbian jing*).
Translated by Indian Tripiṭaka Master Dharmakṣema under the Northern Liang: first translation.
The above one sūtra shares the same original text as the forty-eighth assembly, *Śrīmālādevī-parivarta*. In all, there are three translations: [two extant,] one missing.
*Baoji jing* (Ratnakūṭa-sūtra), three fascicles.
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master and Dhyāna Master Jñānayaśas under the Yuwen Zhou dynasty.
Although this one sūtra is named *Ratnakūṭa*, since there is no extant text to collate, it is unknown which assembly it shares its original with. For now it is appended at the end. From the *Wuliangshou jing* downwards, there are thirty works in fifty-four fascicles of missing texts in the Ratnakūṭa section.
*Dafangdeng daji jing* (Mahāvaipulya Mahāsaṃnipāta-sūtra), twenty-seven fascicles.
Translated by Yuezhi Tripiṭaka Master Lokakṣema under the Later Han: first translation.
*Dafangdeng daji jing*, thirty fascicles (also with the word “New”, or in twenty-four fascicles).
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Kumārajīva under the Yao Qin: second translation.
The above two sūtras share the same original text. In all, there are three translations: one text in the canon, two texts missing.
*Xukongzang pusa jing* (Ākāśagarbha-bodhisattva-sūtra), one fascicle.
Translated by Indian Tripiṭaka Master Guṇabhadra under the Song: second translation.
The above one sūtra has four translations in all: three extant, one missing.
*Banzhou sanmei jing* (Pratyutpanna-samādhi-sūtra), two fascicles (also adding the word “Great”, or in one fascicle).
Translated by Indian Śramaṇa Zhu Foshuo under the Later Han: second translation.
*Banzhou sanmei jing*, one fascicle (a retranslation of the last ten chapters; Dao'an's catalogue lists one-fascicle and three-fascicle versions).
Translated by Yuezhi Tripiṭaka Master Lokakṣema under the Later Han; recorded in Jingtai's catalogue: third translation.
*Banzhou sanmei nianfo zhang jing* (Pratyutpanna-samādhi Section on Recollection of the Buddha Sūtra), one fascicle.
This is a separate translation of the *Chapter on Practice*; translator lost under the Later Han: fourth translation.
*Banzhou sanmei jing*, two fascicles (Dao'an's catalogue calls it *Gengchu banzhou sanmei jing*).
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa under the Western Jin: sixth translation.
The above four sūtras share the same original text, with seven translations in all: three extant, four missing (four being full texts and three being excerpted translations).
*Achamo pusa jing* (Akṣayamati-bodhisattva-sūtra), four fascicles.
Translated by Indian Śramaṇa Vighna under the Wu: first translation.
*Achamo pusa jing*, four fascicles.
Translated by Yuezhi Upāsaka Zhi Qian under the Wu: second translation.
*Wujinyi jing* (Akṣayamati-sūtra), ten fascicles.
Translated by Indian Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa under the Song: fifth translation.
The above three sūtras share the same original text, with five translations in all: two texts extant in the canon, three texts missing (Moreover, Fei Changfang and other catalogues list an *Akṣayamati-sūtra* in four fascicles translated by Dharmarakṣa; considering that Dharmarakṣa had already produced the *Achamo jing*, he would not have produced the *Wujinyi jing* again. The title of his *Achamo jing* notes: “In Jin language, it is called *Wujinyi*”; and a sub-note in the catalogue says “or four fascicles”. This is merely a difference between Sanskrit and Chinese names, while in truth it is one sūtra. The catalogue keeping both texts is a major error).
*Xiao achamo jing* (Lesser Akṣayamati Sūtra), two fascicles.
Translated by Yuezhi Upāsaka Zhi Qian under the Wu.
Since this one sūtra adds the word “Lesser”, it should not share the same original text with the preceding sūtras.
*Fangdeng zhu xukongzang jing* (Vaipulya Lord Ākāśagarbha Sūtra), eight fascicles (also called *Questions of Ākāśagarbha*, or in five fascicles).
Translated by Śramaṇa Shi Shengjian under the Qifu Qin.
This one sūtra is an alternate translation of the *Ākāśagarbha Chapter* of the *Mahāsaṃnipāta*. Even if it exists in the canon, it is an extract of the *Ākāśagarbha Chapter* translated by Dharmakṣema, not an alternate translation. Or perhaps this sūtra was translated by Dharmakṣema, not produced by Shengjian.
*Dingyi tianzi suowen jing* (Sūtra of the Questions of the Son of Heaven Śāntimati), five fascicles (extracted from the *Mahāsaṃnipāta*; now suspected to share the same original text with the *Supratiṣṭhitacitta Sūtra*).
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master and Dhyāna Master Jñānayaśas under the Yuwen Zhou dynasty.
From the *Mahāsaṃnipāta-sūtra* downwards, there are thirteen works in ninety-seven fascicles of missing texts in the Mahāsaṃnipāta section.
*Ru rulai zhi busiyi jing* (Sūtra of Entering the Inconceivable Wisdom of the Tathāgatas), three fascicles.
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master and Dhyāna Master Jñānayaśas under the Yuwen Zhou dynasty; recorded in the *Fanyi tu*: second translation.
The above one sūtra has four translations in all: three extant, one missing.
*Pusa shidi jing* (Bodhisattva Daśabhūmika Sūtra), one fascicle (also called *Dafangguang jing*, or simply called *Shidi jing*).
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa under the Western Jin: first translation.
*Dafangguang pusa shidi jing*, one fascicle; translated by the pure-faith upasaka Nie Daozhen under the Western Jin: second translation.
*Shidi jing* (Daśabhūmika-sūtra), one fascicle.
Translated by Western Regions Tripiṭaka Master Gidami under the Eastern Jin: third translation.
The above three sūtras share the same original text, with five translations in all: two extant, three missing.
*Dafangguang busheng bumie jing* (Mahāvaipulya Sūtra of Non-Arising and Non-Ceasing), one fascicle.
Translated by Khotanese Tripiṭaka Master Śikṣānanda under the Heavenly Empress of the Great Tang (newly entered into the catalogue; single translation).
*Dafangguang rulai nan siyi jingjie jing* (Mahāvaipulya Sūtra of the Tathāgata's Inconceivable Realm), one fascicle.
Translated by Khotanese Tripiṭaka Master Śikṣānanda under the Heavenly Empress of the Great Tang (entered into the catalogue; single translation).
*Fozang dafangdeng jing* (Buddha-Treasury Mahāvaipulya Sūtra), one fascicle (also titled *Wenmingxian jing*).
Translated by Śramaṇa Shi Daoyan under the Song.
Regarding this one sūtra, the catalogue of Śramaṇa Fajing under the Sui dynasty states that it is an alternate translation of the *Chapter on Clarifying Difficulties* in the *Avataṃsaka-sūtra*. This sūtra is now missing (in the old translation it is in the sixth fascicle, and in the new translation it is in the thirteenth fascicle).
*Pusa benye jing* (Bodhisattva Original Acts Sūtra), one fascicle (this is the *Chapter on Pure Conduct* in the *Avataṃsaka-sūtra*; also simply called *Benye jing*).
Translated by Indian Tripiṭaka Master Buddhabhadra under the Eastern Jin: second translation.
24.8.3
The above, including the root chapter, comprise five translations in all: four are extant in the canon, and one is missing. (Since the old Avataṃsaka-sūtra was translated by Buddhabhadra, this Benye jing should not be listed separately; but because the Great Zhou Catalogue entered it into the canon and no copy of it had yet been seen, it is recorded here for now. Furthermore, Fei Changfang's catalogue re-lists Zhi Qian as having translated the 'Purifying Practices' chapter; this is an error. The note to that Jingxing jing says: 'Also called the Pusa benye jing.')
Pusa shifazhu jing (This is the 'Ten Abodes' chapter)
Translated by Nie Daozhen, pure-faith layman of the Western Jin. Second translation.
The above, including the root chapter, comprise five translations in all: four are extant in the canon, and one is missing. (Fei Changfang and other catalogues additionally list a one-scroll Pusa shizhu jing, claiming it was translated by Buddhabhadra of the Eastern Jin. However, examining this, since Buddhabhadra had already translated the large root text, he would not have produced this separate sutra; Changfang's catalogue is mistaken.)
Shizhu jing, 12 scrolls (This is the 'Ten Grounds' chapter)
Translated by Nie Daozhen, pure-faith layman of the Western Jin. Third translation.
The above, including the root chapter, comprise five translations in all: four are extant in the canon, and one is missing.
Luomojia jing, 3 scrolls (This is a small portion of the 'Entering the Dharma Realm' chapter)
Translated by An Xian, Tripiṭaka master of the Western Regions under the Cao Wei. First translation.
Luomojia jing, 1 scroll
Translated by Dharmakṣema, Tripiṭaka master from India under the Northern Liang. Fourth translation.
The above, including the root chapter, comprise five translations in all: three are extant in the canon, and two are missing.
From the Ru Rulai zhi busiyiyi jing downward, there are 12 works in 17 scrolls missing from the Avataṃsaka section.
Fan banniehuan jing, 2 scrolls (Older catalogues read 'Hu'; this is now changed to the character 'Fan'; or in 1 scroll)
Translated by Lokakṣema, Yuezhi Tripiṭaka master of the Later Han. First translation.
Mahāparinirvāṇa-sūtra, 2 scrolls
Abridged from the earlier chapters into 3 scrolls by An Faxian, foreign Tripiṭaka master of the Cao Wei. First translation.
Da banniwan jing, 2 scrolls
Translated in Liangzhou by Zhimeng, śramaṇa of Yongzhou under the Northern Liang. Sixth translation.
Banniehuan jing, 20 scrolls
The 'Introductory Chapter' and 'Lamentation Chapter' translated as 2 scrolls by Zhi Qian, upāsaka of Wu. Second translation.
The above, including the large root text of the Nirvāṇa[-sūtra] and the newly translated latter portion, comprise seven translations in all: three are extant in the canon, and four are missing. (Furthermore, the Great Zhou Catalogue cites Zhu Daozu's catalogue as stating that in the twelfth year of the Yixi era of the Eastern Jin, Buddhabhadra translated one scroll—or said to be ten scrolls—of the Da banniwan at Daochang Monastery, which was the ten scrolls of the first portion of the large root text up to the 'Questioning by the Great Assembly' chapter. Now, examining various catalogues and historical records, Faxian's translation of the Da banniwan was also made at Daochang Monastery in the thirteenth year of the Yixi era. The various sūtras produced by Faxian were all translated jointly with Buddhabhadra; the titles and notes in various catalogues frequently conflate them. Since the time and place were the same, it certainly was not produced twice. Therefore, they are combined into one here, and not preserved separately.)
From the Fan banniehuan jing downward, there are 4 works in 26 scrolls missing from the Nirvāṇa section.
Shu Puyap jing, 8 scrolls (Translator lost; appears to have been translated in the region of Shu; the first translation is in the Wei and Wu catalogues)
Puyap jing, 8 scrolls (Also in 6 scrolls or 4 scrolls)
Translated by the Song śramaṇas Zhiyan and Baoyun. Third translation.
The above two sūtras share the same Indic text as the Lalitavistara (Fangguang zhuangyan jing); there are four translations in all: two are extant, and two are missing.
Wuliangyi jing, 1 scroll
Translated by Guṇabhadra, Tripiṭaka master from India under the Song. First translation.
The above sūtra has two translations in all: one is extant, and one is missing.
Fahua sanmei jing, 6 scrolls (One version adds the character 'Zheng')
Translated by Zhi Jiangliangjie, foreign Tripiṭaka master of Wu.
Recorded in the Fanyi tu. First translation.
Sayun fenduoli jing, 6 scrolls
Translated by Zhu Fahu, Tripiṭaka master of the Western Jin, in the Taishi era. Second translation. (Carefully examining Changfang and other catalogues, the Zheng Fahua was translated by Zhu Fahu in the seventh year of the Taikang era, as seen in Nie Daozhen's catalogue. It is further stated that in the first year of the Taishi era he translated the Sayun fenduoli jing in 6 scrolls, cited from Zhu Daozu's catalogue. Being the same sūtra, it should not have been produced twice. Since the titles are different and both were later preserved, the reason remains unclear; or perhaps 'Sayun fenduoli' is Sanskrit (saddharmapuṇḍarīka) and 'Zheng Fahua' is the Jin translation, and because both the Sanskrit and the Jin names were preserved, cataloguers made an error.)
Fangdeng Fahua jing, 5 scrolls
Translated by the Eastern Jin śramaṇa Zhi Daogen. Fourth translation.
The above three sūtras share the same Indic text; together with the supplemented chapter edition, there are six translations in all: three are extant, and three are missing.
Fo yi sanche huan jing, 1 scroll
Translated by Zhi Qian, Yuezhi upāsaka of Wu.
The above single sūtra is an alternate translation of an extract from the Lotus Sūtra; it should correspond to the 'Simile Chapter'.
Gu Weimojie jing, 2 scrolls
Translated by Yan Fodiao, śramaṇa of Linhuai under the Later Han. First translation.
Yi Weimolajie jing, 3 scrolls (Sengyou gives 'Yi Weimojie jing'; some write 'Si'; or in 2 scrolls)
Translated by Zhu Shulan, upāsaka of the Western Regions under the Western Jin. Third translation.
Weimojie suoshuo famen jing, 1 scroll (Or called Weimojie jing)
Translated by Zhu Fahu, Tripiṭaka master of the Western Jin. Fourth translation.
(Carefully examining Sengyou's catalogue, there is another Weimojie jing in 1 scroll, also said to have been translated by Zhu Fahu, with a note below stating: 'Sengyou believes that the earlier translation of the Vimalakīrti was cumbersome, so Fahu abridged it and extracted the omitted verses.' The present view is that this does not differ from the former text, so it is not listed separately. Furthermore, the Zhou Catalogue contains another Weimolajie jing in 2 scrolls, said to have been translated by Zhi Qian in the Huangwu era of Wu, cited from Changfang's catalogue. However, upon checking Changfang's catalogue, this title does not exist; the Zhou Catalogue is mistaken.)
Weimojie jing, 4 scrolls
Translated by Gidimiti, Tripiṭaka master of the Western Regions under the Eastern Jin. Fifth translation.
The above four sūtras share the same Indic text; there are seven translations in all: three are extant, and four are missing. (The Western Jin śramaṇa Zhi Mindu combined the three versions by Zhi [Qian] and the two Zhus [Zhu Shulan and Zhu Fahu] into a total of five scrolls; because this was not an independent translation and the text itself is missing, it is not included here.)
Dafangdeng dingwang jing, 1 scroll
Translated by Kumārajīva, Tripiṭaka master of the Yao Qin. Second translation.
The above sūtra has four translations in all: three are extant, and one is missing.
Xanju jing, 10 scrolls
Translated by Zhu Fahu, Tripiṭaka master of the Western Jin. First translation.
Beihua jing, 10 scrolls
Translated by the Northern Liang śramaṇa Shi Daogong. Third translation.
The above two sūtras share the same Indic text; there are four translations in all: two are extant, and two are missing.
Fo sheng Daolitian wei mu shuofa jing, 1 scroll
Translated by Dharmamitra, Tripiṭaka master from Kashmīr under the Song. Third translation.
The above sūtra has three translations in all: two are extant, and one is missing.
Dacheng baoyun jing, 8 scrolls
Translated by the śramaṇa Subhūti of Funan under the Chen. Second translation.
The above sūtra has three translations in all: two are extant, and one is missing.
Dengji sanmei jing, 1 scroll
Translated by Bai Fazu, śramaṇa of Henan under the Western Jin. Second translation.
The above sūtra has three translations in all: two are extant, and one is missing.
Chiren pusa jing, 3 scrolls
Translated by Zhu Fonian, śramaṇa of Liangzhou under the Yao Qin. Second translation.
The above sūtra has three translations in all: two are extant, and one is missing.
Wenshushili xian baozang jing, 2 scrolls (Also called Shixian baozang; or in 3 scrolls)

The above one sūtra has two translations in total; one is extant and one is missing.
Actionless All Dharmas Sūtra, one fascicle
Translated by Guṇabhadra, Tripiṭaka master from India, under the Song; 2nd translation.
The above one sūtra has three translations in total; two are extant and one is missing.
King Ajātaśatru Sūtra, two fascicles
Translated by An Faqin, Tripiṭaka master from Parthia, under the Western Jin; 3rd translation.
King Ajātaśatru Sūtra, Re-translated, two fascicles
Re-translated by Dharmarakṣa, Tripiṭaka master under the Western Jin; 4th translation.
The above was translated by Dharmarakṣa in the seventh year of Taikang. The Universal Transcendence Sūtra was subsequently translated once more, hence it was titled "Re-translated." (According to Master Dao'an's catalogue, it only lists "King Ajātaśatru, Re-translated" and not "Universal Transcendence Samādhi, Re-translated"; it was called "re-translated" in contrast to the earlier translation by Lokakṣema. The above shares the same original text with the Amitābha-sūtra and others, with three translations in total; two are extant and one is missing (In the Great Zhou Catalogue of Works Entered into the Canon there is the Shorter Sūtra of Immeasurable Life, but its text does not differ from the Amitābha-sūtra; hence it is considered a missing text).

(Dharmarakṣa translated the Accordance with Expedient Means Sūtra in two fascicles, and also translated the Woman Conforming with Expedient Means Sūtra in two fascicles. Under the title of Accordance with Expedient Means Sūtra it is also noted that it is named Woman Conforming with Expedient Means Sūtra. Now, because "conforming with expedient means" and "accordance with expedient means" share a similar meaning, and the Woman Conforming with Expedient Means Sūtra listed in Sengyou's Separate Catalogue is absent in Dao'an's catalogue, we know it is merely the Accordance with Expedient Means Sūtra; the various compilers produced erroneous catalogue titles. The Woman Conforming with Expedient Means Sūtra is now deleted as unsettled.)

The four sūtras above are different translations of the same text; six translations in all, four extant and two missing. (Although the Sūtra of Wen-cheng exists in the canon, its text is identical to the Sūtra Under the Palm Tree; furthermore, there is the One-fascicle Sūtra on the Twelve Causes, which in fact comes from fascicle 46 of the Ekottarika-āgama. Therefore, these two sūtras have not been transcribed into the canon, pending other recensions.)

(The first six recensions are abridged, while the latter two recensions are very extensive. Śrīmitra's second translation of the Miscellaneous Dhāraṇī Sūtra must have been a distinct Indic text; however, since that text has not been seen, it is difficult to determine for certain.)

The one sūtra above is of the same text as the Sūtra of *Siha-samādhi; two translations in all, one extant and one missing. (Moreover, Changfang's catalogue lists a one-fascicle Commentary on the Bodhi-Tree Sūtra by Kang Senghui of the Wu; now, since Senghui's commentary was on Zhi Qian's translation, this is a commentary on a sūtra and cannot be counted among the translations.)

Śūraṅgama-sūtra (Shoulengyan jing), two fascicles
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Bai Yan of the Western Regions under the Cao Wei; 5th translation.
Sūtra on the Samādhi of Brave Vanquishing (Yongfu ding jing), two fascicles (Master An calls it the Re-produced Śūraṅgama)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa of the Western Jin; 6th translation. (Furthermore, in the catalogues of Sengyou, Fei Changfang, and others, Dharmarakṣa has another two-fascicle Śūraṅgama-sūtra. Now, because Śūraṅgama and Yongfu ding are merely different names in Sanskrit and Jin and the two scriptures are not distinct, the colophon of the Sūtra on the Samādhi of Brave Vanquishing states: “On the ninth day of the fourth month in the first year of the Yuankang era, Bodhisattva Zhi Fahu [Dharmarakṣa] of Dunhuang held the foreign text in hand and chanted out the Śūraṅgamasamādhi, with the upāsaka Nie Chengyuan taking it down in writing.” By this it is verified that the Śūraṅgama-sūtra and the Yongfu ding should not be divided into two, as is also the case with the Bhadrakalpika-sūtra. The Śūraṅgama-sūtra is now abrogated and not separately established. The mention of Zhi Fahu in the scripture's colophon is simply based on his original clan surname).
Śūraṅgama-sūtra (Shoulengyan jing), two fascicles
Translated by Upāsaka Zhu Shulan of the Western Regions under the Western Jin; 7th translation.
Śūraṅgama-sūtra (Shoulengyan jing), two fascicles

Derived from the colophon of the Śūraṅgama; 8th translation; newly entered into the catalogue.
The above eight scriptures are from the same original text, with nine translations in succession: the ninth text is extant, and the previous eight are all missing. (Furthermore, according to the catalogues of Sengyou, Fei Changfang, and others, in the reign of Emperor Hui of the Western Jin, the śramaṇa Zhi Mindu combined the four texts by the two Zhis and the two Zhus into a single compilation; since that which serves to transmit and translate standard fascicles is not an Indic text, it ought not to be counted among translations, and thus is not preserved separately).
Sūtra on the Contemplation of Samantabhadra (Puxian guan jing), one fascicle (also named Guan Puxian pusa jing [Sūtra on the Contemplation of the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra])
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Gītamitra of the Western Regions under the Eastern Jin; 1st translation.

Sūtra of the Bodhisattva Acintyaprabhā-dāraka (Wusiyi guang haitong pusa jing), one fascicle (also called Wusiyi haitong jing, or Wusiyi guang jing; older catalogues simply say Haitong)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa of the Western Jin; 1st translation.
The above single scripture had two translations in succession: one extant, one missing.
Sūtra on Severing the Fetters in the Ten Stages (Shidi duanjie jing), eight fascicles (or called Shizhu [Ten Abodes]; or four fascicles)
Translated at White Horse Monastery by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmaratna of India under the Later Han; 1st translation.
The above single scripture had two translations in succession: one extant, one missing. (Furthermore, the catalogues of Fei Changfang and others state that Zhu Fonian also translated a ten-fascicle Shidi duanjie; this is an error, for it is none other than the Shizhu duanjie jing. Di [stages] and zhu [abodes] are substantially identical in meaning, and there was only one text. We now follow Sengyou’s catalogue as authoritative).
Sūtra of the Essential Compendium of All Buddhas (Zhofo yaoji jing), two fascicles
Translated by the Upāsaka Nie Daozhen of the Western Jin; 2nd translation.
The above single scripture had two translations in succession: one extant, one missing.

The above single scripture had two translations in succession: one extant, one missing.
Bhadrakalpika-sūtra (Xianjie jing), seven fascicles (also named Xianjie dingyi, or Xianjie sanmei; Sengyou’s catalogue calls it the New Bhadrakalpika-sūtra)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Kumārajīva of the Yao Qin; 2nd translation.
The above single scripture had two translations in succession: one extant, one missing. (Furthermore, in the catalogues of Fei Changfang and others, among the scriptures translated by Dharmarakṣa there is also a seven-fascicle Bhatuojie sanmei jing [Bhadrakalpasamādhi-sūtra]. We now examine this title: it is an error by the cataloguers, for Bhadra and Xian [worthy] are merely the difference between Sanskrit and the Jin language. Thus, the beginning of the Bhadrakalpika-sūtra says: “Bhadrakalpasamādhi-sūtra, in the Jin language, means the Samādhi Intention of the Worthy Kalpa.” In Sengyou’s catalogue there is only one text; preserving it as two scriptures is an egregious error. Therefore, they are now merged into one).
