諸法皆妄見。如夢。如焰。如水中月。如鏡中像。以妄相生　此三明妄見也。肇曰。上明外法不住。此明內心妄見。俱辨空義。內外為異耳。夫以見妄故所見不實所見不實故無相常淨也。上二喻取其速滅。此四喻取其妄想也。

"All phenomena are false views, like a dream, like a mirage, like the moon in the water, like an image in a mirror, arising from deluded marks." This third clarifies false views. Sengzhao says: "The above clarified that external phenomena do not abide; this clarifies the false views of the internal mind. Both distinguish the meaning of emptiness, differing only in internal and external. Now, because the seeing is false, what is seen is not real; because what is seen is not real, it is signless and eternally pure. The two previous similes were taken from their rapid cessation; these four similes are taken from deluded conceptualization."
