佛告阿難。是維摩詰文殊師利。與諸大眾恭敬圍遶。發意欲來故先為此瑞應　三佛答。彼來令此生信仰也。

The Buddha told Ānanda: "This is Vimalakīrti and Mañjuśrī, surrounded reverently by the great assembly, who have resolved to come; therefore, this auspicious response was first produced." / Third, the Buddha's reply. Their coming causes faith and reverence to arise here.
