"Or we willfully appropriated the saṅgha's garland goods; or stirred up right and wrong regarding the five divisions of the saṅgha; or spoke of immeasurable evil fruits in the world; or killed sentient beings who possessed the wholesome roots for bodhi; or slandered Dharma masters; or declared what is Dharma to be non-Dharma, and declared what is non-Dharma to be Dharma. We claimed that the Tathāgata is impermanent, that the true Dharma is impermanent, and that the Saṅgha-jewel is impermanent; we took no pleasure in charitable giving and faithfully accepted heterodox teachings. Offenses such as these are immeasurable and boundless. Therefore, today, with immeasurable terror and immeasurable shame, we take refuge in the Triratna, the compassionate Buddhas, the Mahāyāna parents, and the bodhisattva spiritual associates; may you grant that we today disclose and repent them!
