"Furthermore, we disciples, from anādikāla until this day, have given rise to the kleśa of stinginess through guarding, begrudging, and firmly clinging; the kleśa of extravagance and unrestraint through not restraining the six sense-faculties; the kleśa of intolerance through corrupted and evil mental actions; the kleśa of unremitting sloth through laziness and indolence; the kleśa of initial and sustained thought through agitated feelings and considerations; the kleśa of lack of knowledge and understanding through delusion upon contacting sense-objects; the kleśa of self and other arising from following the eight worldly winds; the kleśa of a crooked mind through flattery, deceit, and face-to-face praise; the kleśa of disharmony through arbitrary aggression and intransigence; the kleśa of harbouring deep resentment through being easily angered and difficult to please; the kleśa of obstinacy and perversity through jealousy, fettering, and malice; the kleśa of flattery and malice through treachery and violent harm; the kleśa of grasping at marks contrary to the two truths; the kleśa of producing inversions regarding suffering, accumulation, cessation, and the path; the kleśa of transmigration through following the twelve links of dependent origination in saṃsāra; down to the kleśas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges of the ground of anādikāla avidyā; and the kleśas of the bitter fruits in the tridhātu constructed by the arising of the four grounds of clinging—all such measureless and boundless kleśas that torment the āryas and the four modes of birth across the six destinies, today we disclose before the ten directions' Buddhas, the revered Dharma, and the noble Saṅgha, paying namas and making kṣamā.
