25.14

Or we have been gluttonous, lazy, and indolent, not knowing shame or remorse, greedily craving food and drink without caring about hardship, drinking wine, eating meat, singing, dancing, and indulging in merriment without measure or knowledge of rest. Or we have eaten raw dishes and mince, ingested the five pungent roots, defiled the scriptures and images with foul stenches, jostled and crowded the pure assembly, given free rein to our minds and desires without limit or principle, distancing ourselves from good people and associating closely with bad companions. Or we have been haughty, fraudulent, arrogant, and self-willed, uncouth and obstinate, having no regard for human feelings, regarding ourselves as right and others as wrong, thinking ourselves capable and others evil, attacking others whenever seeing their faults, and fabricating false statements in the hope of lucky breaks. Such sins are immeasurable and boundless; today with utmost sincerity we namas and perform kṣamā for them.
