Vacīpakopaṃ rakkheyya,
vācāya saṃvuto siyā;
Vacīduccaritaṃ hitvā,
vācāya sucaritaṃ care.
Beware of the anger of the tongue, and control thy tongue! Leave the sins of the tongue, and practise virtue with thy tongue!
