causaṭṭhīe ṇaṃ bhaṃte! asurakumārāvāsasayasahassesu evamegaṃsi asurakumārāvāsaṃsi asurakumārāṇaṃ kevaiyā ṭhiti-ṭṭhāṇā pannattā?
goyamā! asaṃkhejjā ṭhitiṭṭhāṇā pannattā| jahanniyā ṭhiī jahā neraiyā tahā, navaraṃ–paḍilomā bhaṃgā bhāṇiyavvā|
savve vi tāva hojja lobhovauttā|
ahavā lobhovauttā ya, māyovautte ya| ahavā lobhovauttā ya, māyovauttā ya| eeṇaṃ gameṇaṃ neyavvaṃ jāva thaṇiyakumārā, navaraṃ–nāṇattaṃ jāṇiyavvaṃ|

"Venerable Sir! In the sixty-four hundred thousand abodes of the Asurakumāras, in each single abode of the Asurakumāras, how many lifespan duration states of the Asurakumāras are declared?"
"Gautama! Innumerable lifespan duration states are declared. The minimum lifespan duration is just as with the inhabitants of hell, with this distinction only: the permutations are to be stated in reverse order:
All of them might first be engaged in greed;
or those engaged in greed, and one engaged in deceit; or those engaged in greed, and those engaged in deceit. By this pattern it is to be known up to the Stanitakumāras, with the distinction only to be understood [according to each category]."
