"Venerable Sir! In terms of substance, is an indivisible atom (paramāṇu-pudgala) a kṛtayugma, a treyojā, a dvāparayugma, or a kaliyoga?"
"Gautama! It is not a kṛtayugma, not a treyojā, not a dvāparayugma; it is a kaliyoga. In this way up to an aggregate composed of infinite space-points (pradeśas).
"Venerable Sir! In terms of substance, are indivisible atoms kṛtayugma—[the same] question?"
"Gautama! By general designation (oghādeśa), sometimes they are kṛtayugma up to sometimes kaliyoga. By particular designation (vibhāgādeśa), they are not kṛtayugma, not treyojā, not dvāparayugma; they are kaliyoga. In this way up to aggregates composed of infinite space-points.
"Venerable Sir! In terms of space-points, is an indivisible atom a kṛtayugma—question?"
"Gautama! It is not a kṛtayugma, not a treyojā, not a dvāparayugma; it is a kaliyoga.
Concerning a two-space-point [aggregate]—question.
