"From where, Venerable Sir, do kṛtayugma-kṛtayugma two-sensed beings arise?" Arising is as in the section on embodiment. Quantity: sixteen, or a numerable number, or an innumerable number arise. Deductive distribution is as in the Uppala-uddeśaka. Body size: at minimum, an innumerableth part of an aṅgula; at maximum, twelve yojanas. In this way, it is just as in the first uddeśaka of the one-sensed mahāyugmas, with only this difference: three leśyās; gods do not arise; [they possess] right view or wrong view, not right-and-wrong view; [they are] knowing or unknowing; they have no mind activity; they have speech activity or body activity.
"For how long, Venerable Sir, do those kṛtayugma-kṛtayugma two-sensed beings remain in terms of time?"
"Gautama! At minimum, one samaya; at maximum, numerable time. Lifespan duration: at minimum, one samaya; at maximum, twelve years. Nourishment: definitely from the six directions. Three mortifications. The rest is just the same, up to: an infinite number of times. In this way, in all sixteen yugmas."
"Truly so, Venerable Sir! Truly so, Venerable Sir!"

paḍhamasamayakaḍajummakaḍajummabeṃdiyā ṇaṃ bhaṃte! kao uvavajjaṃti? evaṃ jahā egiṃdiyamahājummāṇaṃ paḍhamasamayauddesae| dasa nāṇattāiṃ tāiṃ ceva dasa iha vi| ekkārasamaṃ imaṃ nāṇattaṃ–no manajogī, no vaijogī, kāyajogī| sesaṃ jahā beṃdiyāṇaṃ ceva paḍha-muddesae|
sevaṃ bhaṃte! sevaṃ bhaṃte! tti|
evaṃ ee vi jahā egiṃdiyamahājummesu ekkārasa uddesagā taheva bhāṇiyavvā, navaraṃ–cauttha-aṭṭhama-dasamesu sammattanāṇāṇi na bhaṇṇaṃti| jaheva egiṃdiesu paḍhamo taio paṃcamo ya ekkagamā, sesā aṭṭha ekkagamā|
"From where, Venerable Sir, do first-samaya kṛtayugma-kṛtayugma two-sensed beings arise?" Thus as in the first-samaya uddeśaka of the one-sensed mahāyugmas. The ten distinctions are those very ten here as well. The eleventh distinction is this: they have no mind activity, no speech activity, [only] body activity. The rest is as in the first uddeśaka of the two-sensed beings themselves.
"Truly so, Venerable Sir! Truly so, Venerable Sir!"
Thus these eleven uddeśakas are also to be stated just as in the one-sensed mahāyugmas, with only this difference: in the fourth, eighth, and tenth, right view and types of knowledge are not mentioned. Just as in the one-sensed beings, the first, third, and fifth have a single course; the remaining eight have a single course.

kaṇhalessakaḍajummakaḍajummabeṃdiyā ṇaṃ bhaṃte! kao uvavajjaṃti? evaṃ ceva| kaṇhalessesu vi ekkārasauddesagasaṃjuttaṃ sataṃ, navaraṃ–lessā, saṃciṭṭhaṇā jahā egiṃdiyakaṇhalessāṇaṃ|

bhavasiddhiyakaḍajummakaḍajummabeṃdiyā ṇaṃ bhaṃte? evaṃ bhavasiddhiyasatā vi cattāri teṇeva puvvagamaeṇaṃ neyavvā, navaraṃ–savve pāṇā? no tiṇaṭṭhe samaṭṭhe| sesaṃ taheva ohiyasatāṇi cattāri|
sevaṃ bhaṃte! sevaṃ bhaṃte! tti|
jahā bhavasiddhiyasatāṇi cattāri evaṃ abhavasiddhiyasatāṇi cattāri bhāṇiyavvāṇi, navaraṃ–sammatta-nāṇāṇi savvehiṃ natthi, sesaṃ taṃ ceva| evaṃ eyāṇi bārasa beṃdiyamahājummasatāṇi bhavaṃti|
sevaṃ bhaṃte! sevaṃ bhaṃte! tti|
"From where, Venerable Sir, do black-leśyā kṛtayugma-kṛtayugma two-sensed beings arise?" Just in the same way. Among black-leśyā [beings] too, a śataka endowed with eleven uddeśakas [is to be stated], with only this difference: leśyā and duration of persistence are as for the black-leśyā one-sensed beings.
In this way, a śataka for blue-leśyā [beings] too.
In this way, for grey-leśyā [beings] too.
"Bhavasiddhi-capable kṛtayugma-kṛtayugma two-sensed beings, Venerable Sir?"
In this way, the four bhavasiddhi-capable śatakas are also to be understood by that same previous method, with only this difference: "Have all breathing beings...? That meaning is not tenable." The rest is just the same as the four general śatakas.
"Truly so, Venerable Sir! Truly so, Venerable Sir!"
Just as the four bhavasiddhi-capable śatakas were stated, so the four abhavasiddhi-capable śatakas are to be stated, with only this difference: right view and types of knowledge do not exist for all [of them]; the rest is that very same. Thus, these make twelve two-sensed mahāyugma śatakas.
"Truly so, Venerable Sir! Truly so, Venerable Sir!"
