&saṃsargāllohitapradūṣaṇāllohitagandhavarṇānuvidhānācca pittaṃ lohitapittamityācakṣate//
Because of contact [with blood], because of corrupting blood, and because of taking on the smell and colour of blood, pitta is called lohitapitta [blood-bile].
