vásavas tvā dakṣiṇatá uttarā́n marútas tvā |
ādityā́ḥ paścā́d gopsyanti sā́gniṣṭomám áti drava ||8||
The Vasus shall guard thee on the right, thee the Maruts on the left (uttarā́t), the Ādityas behind; do thou run beyond the Agnishṭoma.
