Inscriptions of the reign of Rājarāja I refer to Maṇimaṅgalam as Lokamahādevī-Caturvedimaṅgalam called after his queen Lokamahādevī, but the inscriptions recorded after his fifteenth year and in the reigns of his successors down to the reign of Kulottuṅga I, call the village by the name of Rājacūḍāmaṇicaturvedimaṅgalam (*M.E.R.*, 289 and 292 of 1897 and of 1892; cf. *S.I.I.*, Vol. III, Nos. 28-30).
