十七。（佛在舍衛，六群十七群在道行至小住處，十七群先入寺掃洒令淨；六群知故驅起牽出，因制。）

Seventeen. (The Buddha was in Śrāvastī; the group of six and the group of seventeen were traveling the road and reached a small lodging place; the group of seventeen entered the monastery first to sweep, sprinkle, and make it clean; the group of six knowingly drove them up and dragged them out, on which account it was instituted.)
