Lalitavistara-sūtra [Fangguang dazhuangyan jing], 12 fascicles (also titled Supernatural Play [Shentong youxi]).
Translated by the Great Tang Central Indian Tripiṭaka master Divākara.
From the Great Zhou Catalogue. Fourth translation.
Puyao jing [Lalitavistara-sūtra], 8 fascicles (also titled Fangdeng benqi).
Translated by the Western Jin Tripiṭaka master Dharmarakṣa.
Second translation; two out of four translations are missing.
The above two scriptures are different translations of the same original. (The Dàzhuāngyán jīng is catalogued in question catalogues as an isolated translation, and some classify the Pǔyào jīng under the Hīnayāna canon; both are mistaken.)
The above two scriptures, in 20 fascicles, are in 2 cases.
Saddharmapuṇḍarīka-samādhi-sūtra, 1 fascicle. Offshoot of the Lotus Sūtra.
Translated by the Song śramaṇa Shi Zhiyan of the metropolitan prefecture. Single translation.
Anantanirdeśa-sūtra, 1 fascicle. Precursor exposition to the Lotus Sūtra.
Translated by the Southern Qi Indian śramaṇa Dharmagatayaśas.
Second translation; one out of two translations is missing.
Saddharmapuṇḍarīka-sūtra [Satan fentuoli jing], 1 fascicle. (This consists of fragments separately extracted from the Stūpa and Devadatta chapters of the Lotus Sūtra. Sengyou's catalogue notes it as an anonymous translation from Dao'an's catalogue; it is now appended to the Western Jin catalogue as a recovered omission.)
Miaofa lianhua jing [Lotus Sūtra], 8 fascicles (28 chapters, or in 7 fascicles).
Translated by the Later Qin Tripiṭaka master Kumārajīva. Fifth translation.
The four scriptures above. (The Devadatta Chapter at the beginning of fascicle five of this Lotus Sūtra was translated at Waguan Monastery during the reign of Emperor Wu of the Liang by the foreign Tripiṭaka master *Dharmamati together with the Capital Controller of the Sangha, the śramaṇa Faxian; its Indic palm-leaf text was brought from Khotan by Faxian. The reiterated verses of the Universal Gateway Chapter at the beginning of fascicle eight were translated at Longyuan Monastery in Yizhou during the reign of Emperor Wu of the Zhou by the North Indian Tripiṭaka master Jñānagupta. Both were absent from the Qin text and were subsequently interpolated. Furthermore, the six dhāraṇī mantras of Bodhisattva Bhaiṣajyarāja and others in fascicle eight were re-translated by the Great Tang Tripiṭaka master Xuanzang and appear in the Sounds and Meanings; they are not listed separately here.)
Ritual of Yogic Contemplation and Wisdom for Accomplishing the King of the Wonderful Dharma Lotus Flower Sūtra, 1 fascicle.
Translated under imperial decree by the Tripiṭaka śramaṇa Da Guangzhi Amoghavajra of Daxingshan Monastery.
Newly entered into the Zhenyuan Catalogue.
The above five scriptures, in 12 fascicles, share the same case.
Zheng fahua jing [Lotus Sūtra], 10 fascicles (also called Fangdeng zheng fahua, or in 7 fascicles, 1 case).
Translated by the Western Jin Tripiṭaka master Dharmarakṣa. Third translation.
Miaofa lianhua jing [Lotus Sūtra with Supplemented Chapters], 7 fascicles (27 chapters, or in 8 fascicles).
Translated with supplemented chapters by the two Indian Dharma Masters Jñānagupta and Dharmagupta under the Sui.
Derived from the scripture's preface and the Neidian lu.
The above two scriptures are different translations of the same original. (The preface to the supplemented chapters states in brief: 'The Zheng fahua was translated by Dharmarakṣa; the Miaofa was translated by Kumārajīva. Upon verifying both versions, both had omissions. What Dharmarakṣa lacked was the verses of the Universal Gateway Chapter. What Kumārajīva lacked was half of the Simile of the Medicinal Herbs Chapter, the beginnings of the Pūrṇa and Dharma Preacher chapters, the Devadatta Chapter, and the verses of the Universal Gateway Chapter. Kumārajīva also transposed the Entrustment Chapter to precede the Bhaiṣajyarāja Chapter. In both versions, the dhāraṇīs were placed after the Universal Gateway Chapter. The differences between them cannot be fully recounted. Observing that the Devadatta Chapter and the Universal Gateway verses had been translated by past sages to supply omissions and put into circulation, I have revered their lofty tradition and followed their established precedent. In the xinyou year, the first year of the Renshou era of the Great Sui, at the invitation of the śramaṇa Shangxing of Puyao Monastery, I re-examined Indic palm-leaf manuscripts together with the two Dharma masters Jñānagupta and Dharmagupta at Daxingshan Monastery. The collated manuscripts still lacked the beginnings of the two chapters, Pūrṇa and Dharma Preacher; half of the Simile of the Medicinal Herbs Chapter was supplemented; the Devadatta Chapter was linked to the Emergence of the Treasure Stūpa Chapter; the Dhāraṇī Chapter was placed after the Supernatural Powers Chapter; and the Entrustment Chapter was placed at the conclusion. Discrepancies in words and phrases were also corrected. Should anyone study this, may they have no doubts.' Including this supplemented edition, there are six translations in all, three extant and three missing.)
Vimalakīrtinirdeśa-sūtra, 2 fascicles (also titled Inconceivable Liberation, or Vimalakīrti-sūtra).
Translated by the Later Qin Tripiṭaka master Kumārajīva. Sixth translation.
The above two scriptures, in 10 fascicles, share the same case.
Vimalakīrti-sūtra, 2 fascicles (or 3 fascicles).
Translated by the Yuezhi upāsaka Zhi Qian of the Wu dynasty. Second translation.
Scripture Expounding the Stainless Fame [Shuō wūgòuchēng jīng], 6 fascicles.
Translated by the Great Tang Tripiṭaka master Xuanzang.
From the Neidian lu. Seventh translation.
The above three scriptures are different translations of the same original (out of seven translations in total, four are missing).
Dà fāngděng dǐngwáng jīng [Mūrdhaja-sūtra], 1 fascicle (also titled Inquiry of Vimalakīrti's Son, or Good Thought Boy Sūtra).
Translated by the Western Jin Tripiṭaka master Dharmarakṣa. First translation.
Mahāyāna Mūrdhaja-sūtra, 1 fascicle (also titled Vimalakīrti's Son Sūtra).
Translated by Upaśūnya, Prince of Ujjayinī, under the Liang. Second translation.
The above four scriptures, in 10 fascicles, share the same case.
Shàn sī tóngzǐ jīng [Good Thought Boy Sūtra], 2 fascicles.
Translated by the Sui Indian Tripiṭaka master Jñānagupta and others. Fourth translation.
The above three scriptures are different translations of the same original. (The Zhou Catalogue lists the Shan si tongzi jing among single translations, which is an error. Out of four translations in all, the second is missing.)
Mahākaruṇā-puṇḍarīka-sūtra [Dàbēi fēntuólì jīng], 8 fascicles (also titled Mahākaruṇā; now appended to the Qin Catalogue). Second translation; translator lost.
The above two scriptures, in 10 fascicles, share the same case.
Karuṇāpuṇḍarīka-sūtra [Bēihuā jīng], 10 fascicles (1 case).
Translated at Guzang by Dharmakṣema, Indian Tripiṭaka master of the Northern Liang. Fourth translation.
The above two scriptures are different translations of the same original (two out of four translations are missing).
Suvarṇaprabhāsottamarāja-sūtra, 10 fascicles (1 case).
Translated under the Great Tang Empress Dowager [Wu Zetian] by the Tripiṭaka master Yijing. Newly entered into the catalogue. Fifth translation.
Suvarṇaprabhāsa-sūtra, 8 fascicles (24 chapters).
Compiled jointly by the śramaṇa Baogui of Daxingshan Monastery under the Sui. Serves as the fourth version.
The above two scriptures are different translations of the same original. (Its preface states in brief: 'Presently there are three versions of the Golden Light Sūtra. The first was translated in the Liang era by Dharmakṣema into four fascicles, containing only eighteen chapters. In the Great Zhou era, Jñānagupta translated a version into five fascicles, forming twenty chapters. In the Later Liang, Tripiṭaka Master Paramārtha translated four chapters at Jiankang—the Distinction of the Three Bodies, the Destruction of Karmic Obstacles Dhāraṇī, the Most Serene Ground, and the Fulfillment of Vows through Relying on Emptiness—which, supplemented to the earlier omissions, constituted twenty-four chapters. Baogui continually lamented that in such an esoteric scripture, how could the latter portion lack an Entrustment Chapter entirely? Although there were three translations of old, he suspected they were incomplete, and continually longed to encounter Indic texts. In the seventeenth year of the Great Sui, during a brief respite from Dharma lectures, he requested a Tripiṭaka master from the North Indian kingdom of Gandhāra—whose name meant Zhide [Jñānagupta]—to search again for the latter portion. They indeed found the Entrustment Chapter, and furthermore obtained the Silver Sovereign Dhāraṇī Chapter. These were immediately translated at Daxingshan Monastery in the capital. Combining them with the previously translated chapters, they formed twenty-four chapters in total, transcribed into eight fascicles. Scholar Fei Zhangfang of Chengdu took down the brush translation, and the Sanskrit-proficient śramaṇa Shi Yancong of Riyan Monastery revised and verified it.' The compiler states: This composite scripture possesses complete text and doctrine. Dharmakṣema's four-fascicle text, Paramārtha's seven-fascicle text, and Jñānagupta's five-fascicle text all have omissions. Therefore, these three scriptures are not redundantly recorded here, following Zhangfang's and others' catalogues.)

During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou, the Indian Tripiṭaka master Yaśogupta translated one text entitled *Jinguangming jing gengguang shouliang dabian tuoluoni jing* (Sūtra of the Golden Light: Further Expanding the Span of Life and Great Eloquence Dhāraṇī), forming a work in five fascicles. In carefully examining this title now, it is not a complete translation. It merely continued and expounded two chapters within Dharmakṣema's four-fascicle scripture: in the 'Span of Life' chapter, it further continued its text, and in the 'Great Eloquence' chapter, it further expanded the dhāraṇī rituals; as it also continued [passages] within other chapters, it is called *Further Expanding the Span of Life and Great Eloquence Dhāraṇī Sūtra*. Therefore, the preface to the combined six-fascicle scripture states: 'The

The three-fascicle version adds the original vows of the six Buddhas as well as mantras, while the rest of the text largely agrees with Master Xuanzang's translation. As for the older Bhaiṣajyaguru-sūtra, the various catalogues all say it was translated by the Liu Song dynasty śramaṇa Huijian of Luye Monastery, but upon examining its text, it is simply an offshoot extraction of the twelfth fascicle of the Guanding jing circulating separately, with no different text existing. As for the Suiyuan wangsheng jing, the various catalogues state either that it was translated by Zhi Qian of the Wu dynasty or that it was translated by Dharmarakṣa of the Western Jin; yet what is currently circulating is simply the 'Puguang Chapter' of the twelfth fascicle of the Da guanding jing, with no separate text existing. Since both of these two sūtras are already contained within the large work, those offshoot extracts circulating separately have been abridged and omitted from this record.)

Ajātaśatrukaukṛtyavinodana-sūtra, two fascicles
Translated by Lokakṣema, Tripiṭaka master from the Yuezhi of the Later Han; first translation.

Sūtra on the Samādhi of the Universal Transcendence, two fascicles (or with 'Mañjuśrī' added above, or in four fascicles)
Translated by Dharmarakṣa, Tripiṭaka master of the Western Jin; second translation.

Fangbo jing, one fascicle (a separate translation of the 'Offering of the Bowl' chapter of the Pu chao jing, extracted from the first fascicle)
Sengyou's catalogue says: An anonymous translation in Master Dao'an's catalogue; Master Dao'an says it comes from the Vaipulya [section]; now appended to the Western Jin catalogue.
The above three sūtras are variant translations of the same text (six translations in all, three of which are lacking texts).
The above six sūtras, ten fascicles, are contained in the same case.

Candrapradīpa-samādhi-sūtra, ten fascicles (or eleven fascicles, one case)
Translated by Narendrayaśas, Tripiṭaka master of Northern Qi from India; later complete, single-retranslation.

Candrapradīpa-samādhi-sūtra, one fascicle (also called Sūtra on the Tenfold Practice of the Bodhisattva Mañjuśrī)
Translated by the śramaṇa Shi Xiangong of the Liu Song; second separate translation.
The above single sūtra is an extract and variant translation of the seventh fascicle of the earlier large Candrapradīpa-sūtra (the text of the first translation in a single fascicle is lacking).

Wu suo xiwang jing, one fascicle (also called Xiangbu jing)
Translated by Dharmarakṣa, Tripiṭaka master of the Western Jin; second translation.

Hastikakṣya-sūtra, one fascicle
Translated by Dharmamitra, Tripiṭaka master of Kashmīr under the Liu Song; fourth translation.
The above two sūtras are variant translations of the same text (four translations in all, two lacking texts).

Da jing famen jing, one fascicle
Translated by Dharmarakṣa, Tripiṭaka master of the Western Jin; first translation.

Da zhuangyan famen jing, one fascicle
Translated by Narendrayaśas, Tripiṭaka master of the Sui from India; third translation.
The above two sūtras are variant translations of the same text (three translations in all, one lacking text).

Sūtra on the Tathāgata's Adornment of Wisdom Light Entering the Realm of All Buddhas, two fascicles
Translated by Dharmaruci; first translation.

Sūtra on the Wisdom-Adornment Entering the Realm of All Buddhas, one fascicle
Translated by Saṅghapāla and others, Tripiṭaka master of Liang from Funan; second translation.

Later Translation of the Sūtra of Verses on Amitābha Buddha, one fascicle (a different text from the subsequent sūtra; anonymous translation of the Later Han; second translation; sometimes without the word 'sūtra'; one of two translations is lacking)

Sūtra on the Contemplation of the Buddha of Immeasurable Life, one fascicle (also called Sūtra on the Contemplation of Amitāyus; a different text from the preceding and following sūtras)
Translated by Kālayaśas, Tripiṭaka master of the Western Regions under the Liu Song; one of two translations is lacking; first translation.

Recitation Ritual of the Tathāgata of Immeasurable Life, one fascicle (in the sūtra it says: Ritual for Cultivating Contemplative Practice and Making Offerings)
Translated by imperial decree by the Great Broad Wisdom Amoghavajra, Tripiṭaka śramaṇa of Daxingshan Monastery; newly entered into the Zhenyuan catalogue.

Sukhāvatīvyūha-sūtra, one fascicle (also called Amitāyus-sūtra)
Translated by Kumārajīva, Tripiṭaka master of the Later Qin; first translation; the second text is lacking.

Sūtra Praising the Pure Land and the Embracing Protection of the Buddhas, one fascicle (also simply called Sūtra Praising the Pure Land)
Translated by Xuanzang, Tripiṭaka master of the Great Tang; taken from the Neidian lu; third translation.
The above two sūtras are variant translations of the same text (upon searching, Gunabhadra's translation of the Xiao wuliangshou jing could not be found; even where it exists in various collections, its text is identical to the Amitābha-sūtra without difference).
The above twelve sūtras, thirteen fascicles, are contained in the same case.

Sūtra on the Contemplation of Maitreya Bodhisattva's Rebirth Above in Tuṣita Heaven, one fascicle (also called Maitreya's Rebirth Above Sūtra)
Translated by the upāsaka Juqu Jingsheng of the Liu Song; single translation.
The above Rebirth Above Sūtra, although a single translation, is arranged here according to the order of the Attainment of Buddhahood Sūtra.

Sūtra on Maitreya's Attainment of Buddhahood, one fascicle (a different text from the subsequent sūtra)
Translated by Kumārajīva, Tripiṭaka master of the Later Qin; second translation; one of two translations is lacking.

Sūtra on the Coming of Maitreya, one fascicle (anonymous translation)
Taken from Fashang's catalogue; now appended to the Eastern Jin catalogue; third translation.

Sūtra on Maitreya's Rebirth Below, one fascicle (also called Sūtra on Maitreya's Prediction; beginning with 'Great Wisdom Śāriputra')
Translated by Kumārajīva, Tripiṭaka master of the Later Qin; fourth translation. (Upon careful examination, both the Changfang lu and the Neidian lu state that the Mile xiasheng jing beginning with 'Great Wisdom Śāriputra' was previously edited and revised by the Chang'an śramaṇa Shi Daobiao and the Xiao Qi Jiangzhou śramaṇa Daozheng. Now, considering this assertion, it seems doubtful: Shi Daobiao was a monk under Master Kumārajīva who clarified meanings, not the chief translator; even if Biao had produced the translation, why would its wording and meaning be deficient? Passing down to the Qi dynasty, for Zheng to re-edit and revise it when the times were so far apart and accounts inconsistent—that claim of Daozheng's revision can hardly be taken as a standard. The sublinear note in the sūtra actually says 'Qin words', so it was indeed translated under the Qin, free from confusing doubts; that Kumārajīva's catalogue first recorded it confirms this).

Sūtra on Maitreya's Rebirth Below and Attainment of Buddhahood, one fascicle
Translated by Yijing, Tripiṭaka master under Empress Regnant Wu of the Great Tang; newly compiled and entered into the catalogue; sixth translation.
The above three sūtras are variant translations of the same text (six translations in all, three lacking texts).

Zhufa yongwang jing, one fascicle
Translated by Dharmamitra, Tripiṭaka master of Kashmīr under the Liu Song; second translation.

Yiqie fa gaowang jing, one fascicle (also called Yiqie fa yiwang jing)
Translated by Gautama Prajñāruci, brāhmaṇa of the Northern Wei; third translation; taken from the preface record.
(The preface record at the beginning of the above sūtra states: 'In the fourth year of the Xinghe era of the Wei, the cyclical year being renxu, in the late summer, the sixth month, beginning with the cyclical day yiwei, on the twenty-third day dingren, translation was begun by the brāhmaṇa guest Gautama Prajñāruci and the śramaṇa Tanlin at Grand Commandant Dou's Dingchang Monastery, totaling 8,449 characters.' The claim in various catalogues that it was translated by Bodhiruci is an error; it is now corrected according to the preface record. The Zhou catalogue listing the Yiqie fa gaowang jing as a single translation is also mistaken).
The above two sūtras are variant translations of the same text (three translations in all, one lacking text).

Paramārthadharmavijaya-sūtra, one fascicle
Translated by Gautama Prajñāruci, brāhmaṇa of the Northern Wei; first translation; taken from the preface record.
(The preface record at the beginning of the above sūtra states: 'In the fourth year of the Xinghe era of the Wei, the cyclical year being renxu, on the first day jiazi of the ninth month, Gautama [Prajñā]ruci and the śramaṇa Tanlin translated this at the residence of Duke Gao, Director of the Department of State Affairs and Specially Advanced with the Threefold Splendour, totaling 5,576 characters.' The claim in various catalogues that it was translated by Bodhiruci is an error; it is now corrected according to the preface record).

Sūtra on the Questions Concerning Doubts by the Sage of Great Awe and Light, one fascicle
Translated by Jñānagupta and others, Tripiṭaka master of the Sui from India; second translation.

The above two sūtras are different translations of the same text.
*Shunquan fangbian jing* (Sūtra on Following Expedient Means), in two scrolls (also titled *Zhuan nüshen pusa jing* [Sūtra on the Bodhisattva Who Transforms a Female Body], or in one scroll)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa under the Western Jin. Second translation.
*Le yingluo zhuangyan fangbian pin jing* (Sūtra on the Chapter of Expedient Means of Joyfully Adorning with Garlands), in one scroll (also called *Zhuan nüshen pusa wenda jing* [Sūtra of the Questions and Answers of the Bodhisattva Who Transforms a Female Body])
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmayaśas of Kashmīr under the Yao Qin. Third translation. Drawn from the postscript to the sūtra.
The above two sūtras are different translations of the same text. (Regarding *Le yingluo zhuangyan*: upon consulting the various catalogues, some say it was translated by Kumārajīva under the Yao Qin, while others say it was translated by Fahai under the Song dynasty. Now, following the postscript after the sūtra, it states that the monk Huifa requested Dharmayaśas, [an expert in] the *vibhāṣā*, to translate it at the Qin Monastery in Kashmīr; hence it should be correct. Various catalogues say that Dharmayaśas was skilled in the *vibhāṣā* and that people of the time referred to him as "Vibhāṣā." Thus Sengyou's catalogue says that the translator of the *Śāriputrābhidharma-vibhāṣā* was this person. *She* [舍] and *shi* [施] are simply close in pronunciation. Now, removing it from Kumārajīva's catalogue, it is appended to the catalogue under [Dharma]yaśas. Of four successive translations, two translations lack extant texts).
The above eleven sūtras in twelve scrolls share the same case.
*Liudu ji jing* (Collection of Sūtras on the Six Perfections), in eight scrolls (also titled *Liudu wuji jing*, or in nine scrolls)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Kang Senghui of India [residing in Jiaozhi] under the Wu. A combined translation of single and multiple [parts].
*Taizi Xudana jing* (Sūtra on Prince Sudāna), in one scroll (or *Dana*)
Translated by the śramaṇa Shi Shengjian under the Qifu Qin.
Listed as single in the Zhou Catalogue; combined as a retranslation.
The above one sūtra is an alternate translation drawn from the second scroll, "Perfection of Giving," of the *Liudu jing*.
*Pusa Shanzi jing* (Sūtra on Bodhisattva Śyāma), in one scroll (also titled *Xiaoji Shan jing* [Sūtra on the Filial Son Śyāma])
An anonymous translation listed in Sengyou's catalogue and Master An's catalogue.
Now appended to the Western Jin catalogue. Second translation.
*Shanzi jing* (Sūtra on Śyāma), in one scroll
Translated by the śramaṇa Shi Shengjian under the Qifu Qin. Fourth translation.
The above two sūtras share the same source, being alternate translations drawn from the second scroll, "Perfection of Giving," of the *Liudu jing*.
*Taizi Mupo jing* (Sūtra on Prince Muka), in one scroll
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master An Shigao of Parthia under the Later Han. First translation.
*Taizi Mupo jing* (Sūtra on Prince Muka), in one scroll (or written as 慕魄)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa under the Western Jin. Third translation. Recovered from omissions and compiled herein.
The above two sūtras share the same source, being alternate translations drawn from the fourth scroll, "Perfection of Precepts," of the *Liudu jing*.
*Jiu se lu jing* (Sūtra on the Nine-Coloured Deer), in one scroll
Translated by the Yuezhi upāsaka Zhi Qian under the Wu. Drawn from Fashang's catalogue.
The above one sūtra is an alternate translation drawn from the sixth scroll, "Perfection of Diligence," of the *Liudu jing*.
The above seven sūtras in fourteen scrolls share the same case. (The Zhou Catalogue listing the *Jiu se lu jing* as a single text is an error).
*Wuzi baoqie jing* (Sūtra of the Precious Casket Without Letters), in one scroll
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Bodhiruci of India under the Northern Wei. First translation.
*Dasheng liwenzi puguangming zang jing* (Mahāyāna Sūtra of the Ineffable Repository of Universal Light), in one scroll
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Divākara of India under the Great Tang at West Taiyuan Monastery.
Drawn from the Great Zhou Catalogue. Third translation.
*Dasheng bianzhao guangming zang wuzi famen jing* (Mahāyāna Sūtra on the Dharma Gate of Ineffability: The Repository of Universal Illuminating Light), in one scroll
Retranslated by Tripiṭaka Master Divākara of India under the Great Tang.
Recovered from omissions and compiled herein. Fourth translation.
The above three sūtras are different translations of the same text. (The Great Zhou Catalogue's claim that this shares the same original as the *Dafangguang baoqie jing* is mistaken; among the four translations, one lacks an extant text).
*Laonüren jing* (Sūtra on the Old Woman), in one scroll (also titled *Laomu jing* [Sūtra on the Old Mother] or *Laonü jing* [Sūtra on the Old Female])
Translated by the Yuezhi upāsaka Zhi Qian under the Wu.
Recovered from omissions and compiled herein. First translation.
*Laomu jing* (Sūtra on the Old Mother), in one scroll. An anonymous translation in Sengyou's catalogue.
Now appended to the Song catalogue. Second translation.
*Laomu nü liuying jing* (Sūtra on the Old Mother and Her Daughter Liuying), in one scroll
Also titled *Laomu jing*.
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Guṇabhadra of India under the Song. Third translation.
The above three sūtras are different translations of the same text.
*Yueguang tongzi jing* (Sūtra on the Youth Candraprabha), in one scroll (also titled *Yueming tongzi jing* or *Shenri jing*)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa under the Western Jin. First translation.
*Shenri'er ben jing* (Original Sūtra of the Son of Shenri), in one scroll (written as 兜本 [Douben] in the catalogue by mistake, omitting the character 日 [ri])
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Guṇabhadra of India under the Song.
Recovered from omissions and compiled herein. Third translation.
*Dehu zhangzhe jing* (Sūtra on the Elder Śrīgupta), in two scrolls (also titled *Shilijuoduo zhangzhe jing*)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Narendrayaśas of India under the Sui.
Recovered from omissions and compiled herein. Fourth translation.
The above three sūtras are different translations of the same text. (Although the above three sūtras stem from the same original, their full and abbreviated forms differ completely, with respective additions and omissions. Furthermore, among the translations by Zhi Qian there is a one-scroll *Shenri jing*, said to be an alternate translation of the *Yueguang tongzi jing*; now upon examining the phrasing, the two texts do not differ. The father was named Shenri and the son was named Yueguang. They were divided into two scrolls based on the names of father and son. Since both texts are identical, they are not listed together. As for that *Shenri jing*, some say in the Hīnayāna Canon that it comes from the *Āgama*. In the *Ekottarāgama* there is the account of the elder Śrīgupta, but without the deeds of the youth Candraprabha; compiling it therein would likely also be an error).
*Wenshushili wen puti jing* (Sūtra of Mañjuśrī's Questions on Bodhi), in one scroll (also titled *Puti wuxing jing* [Sūtra on the Bodhi of Inaction] or simply *Puti jing*)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Kumārajīva under the Yao Qin. First translation.
*Gaya shanding jing* (Sūtra on the Peak of Mount Gayā), in one scroll (also titled *Gaya ding jing*)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Bodhiruci of India under the Northern Wei. Second translation.
*Xiangtou jingshe jing* (Sūtra of the Elephant-Head Hermitage), in one scroll
Translated by the Indian śramaṇa Vinītaruci under the Sui. Third translation.
*Dasheng Gaya shanding jing* (Mahāyāna Sūtra on the Peak of Mount Gayā), in one scroll
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Bodhiruci of India under the reign of Empress Wu of the Great Tang.
Drawn from the Great Zhou Catalogue. Fourth translation.
The above four sūtras are different translations of the same text. (In the monk Jingmai's *Fanyi jing tu*, a one-scroll *Puti jing* is separately recorded, and in the Great Zhou Catalogue there is also a one-scroll *Puti wuxing jing*. Both of these are variant titles of Master Kumārajīva's translation of the *Wenshu wen puti jing*; there is no need to record them redundantly).
*Zhangzhe zi Zhi jing* (Sūtra on Zhi, Son of the Elder), in one scroll (also titled *Zhi jing*)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master An Shigao of Parthia under the Later Han. First translation.
*Pusa Shi jing* (Sūtra on Bodhisattva Shi), in one scroll (also titled *Shi tongzi jing* [Sūtra on the Youth Shi] or simply *Shi jing*)
Translated by the śramaṇa Bai Fazu under the Western Jin. Third translation.
*Shi tongzi jing* (Sūtra on the Youth Shi), in one scroll
Translated by the śramaṇa Zhi Fadu under the Western Jin. Among five translations, two are lacking. Fourth translation.
The above three sūtras are different translations of the same text. (In addition, the *Da wen lu* separately records a one-scroll sūtra which is the translation by An Shigao; being one text under different titles, it should not be listed redundantly).
*Duzi jing* (Sūtra on the Calf), in one scroll
Translated by the Yuezhi upāsaka Zhi Qian under the Wu.
Drawn from Fashang's catalogue. First translation.
*Ruguang fo jing* (Sūtra of the Buddha of Milky Radiance), in one scroll (also titled *Ruguang jing*)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa under the Western Jin. Second translation.
The above two sūtras are different translations of the same text. (Their fullness and brevity differ slightly; of four successive translations, two lack extant texts).
*Wugouxian nü jing* (Sūtra on the Flawless Virtuous Maiden), in one scroll (or titled *Taizang jing* [Garbhadhātu Sūtra])
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmarakṣa under the Western Jin.
Drawn from Nie Daozhen's catalogue. Second translation.

(The above sūtra is said to be the same text as the Taizang jing, both stated to have been translated by Dharmarakṣa. Having now compared the two texts, their sentences and phrases are entirely identical, differing only in title; one text is now retained.)

Zhuan nü shen jing, one fascicle
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Dharmamitra of Kashmīr, under the Song. Fourth translation.
The above three sūtras are different translations of the same text (the former two texts are slightly more abridged; five translations in total, two of which are missing).
The above twenty-one sūtras, in twenty-two fascicles, are in the same case.
Wushangyi jing, two fascicles
Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Paramārtha of India, under the Liang. Complete text; second translation. Taken from the postscript to the sūtra.
(Regarding this Wushangyi jing above, having respectfully consulted the catalogues of [Fei] Changfang and others, they all state that in the second year of Yongding of the Chen, a dingchou year, Tripiṭaka Master Paramārtha produced it at Jingtu Monastery in Nankang Commandery. The postscript to the sūtra states that on the eighth day of the ninth month in the third year of Shaotai of the Liang, the year being dingchou, Tripiṭaka Master Paramārtha translated it in Pinggu County at the invitation of Liu Wentuo, Governor of Nankang. Having now consulted the chronological records of various authors, they diverge and do not agree. Changfang's chronology only reaches the fifth year of Chengsheng, a bingzi year, when the Liang dynasty came to an end. The chronological records of Zhen Luan and Wang Daogui state that in the second year of Shaotai, a bingzi year, the reign era was changed to the first year of Taiping, and in the second year of Taiping, a dingchou year, it was changed to the first year of Yongding, when Chen Baxian established the state named Chen. There is also an anonymous chronological record which states that in the third year of Chengsheng, a jiaxu year, the era was changed to the first year of Dading, establishing the Later Liang, and only after eight years was the era title changed. However, none of the four chronological records contains a third year of Shaotai. Since the four texts are all inconsistent, it is not yet known which is the correct account. It may be that the third year of Shaotai of the Liang, a dingchou year, was in fact the first year of Yongding at the beginning of the Chen; the chronologies merely recorded the later era title without listing the earlier designation. For now, following the sūtra's record, it is treated as a Liang translation.)
