pañcamī saptamī caiva daśamī ca trayodaśī | pratipan navamī caiva kartavyā saṃmukhī tithiḥ
The fifth, seventh, tenth, and thirteenth, / the first and ninth lunar days should be observed when facing [the next].
The fifth, seventh, tenth, thirteenth, first and ninth lunar days are to be kept as 'facing' (joined to the following day).
