mukharam adhīram tyaja mañjīram ripum iva keli-sulolam /
cala sakhi kuñjam satimira-puñjam śīlaya nīla-nicolam //
dhīra-samīre yamunā-tīre vasati vane vanamālī //

Discard your noisy, restless anklet like an enemy in the eagerness of love-play;
go, friend, to the bower dense with darkness, and wrap yourself in a dark-blue cloak!
In the gentle breeze on the bank of the Yamunā, the garlanded one dwells in the forest!
