2.5.2

vahati malaya-samīre madanam upanidhāya /
sphuṭati kusuma-nikare virahi-hṛdaya-dalanāya //
tava virahe vanamālī sakhi sīdati //

While the breeze from the Malaya mountains blows, carrying Madana with it,
and clusters of flowers burst open to crush the hearts of separated lovers,
in separation from you, O friend, the garlanded one suffers!
