2.5.17

tvat-vāmyena samam samagram adhunā tigmāṃśuḥ astam gataḥ
govindasya manorathena ca samam prāptam tamaḥ sāndratām /
kokānām karuṇa-svanena sadṛśī dīrghā mat-abhyarthanā
tat mugdhe viphalam vialambanam asau ramyaḥ abhisāra-kṣaṇaḥ //

Along with your reluctance, the hot-rayed sun has now completely set;
and together with Govinda's longing, the darkness has grown dense;
my plea is as protracted as the plaintive cry of the cakravāka birds;
therefore, foolish girl, delay is in vain—this is the charming moment for the rendezvous!
