āśleṣāt anu cumbanāt anu nakha-ullekhāt anu svāntaja-
prodbodhāt anu saṃbhramāt anu rata-ārambhāt anu prītayoḥ /
anya-artham gatayoḥ bhramāt militayoḥ saṃbhāṣaṇaiḥ jānatoḥ
dampatyoḥ iha kaḥ na kaḥ na tamasi vrīḍā-vimiśraḥ rasaḥ //

After an embrace, after a kiss, after a scratch of fingernails, after passion is aroused,
after breathless agitation, after amorous play begins, what aesthetic flavor mixed with bashfulness
is not experienced in the darkness by the loving couple who, having gone seeking another,
met by mistake and recognized each other through their conversation?
